1 - Belvoir, Dark Horse Mild - 3.4% ABV (LocAle)
Built
on the foundations of a classic Mild Ale recipe this dark beer has a smooth
character. A welcoming flow of full bodied flavours is followed by a
pleasant rounded finish derived from a delicate balance of malt and hops.
2 - St Austell, Tinners - 3.7% ABV
Traditional delicious Cornish ale, brewed with the finest malts and choicest
hops. Tinners has a light refreshing flavour with only a hint of bitterness.
Celebrating Cornwall's history in tin mining, today Tinners is a popular
session ale in pubs throughout the county.
3 - Nobby's, Best Bitter - 3.8% ABV
Possibly their best! A fine session ale with an excellent hop finish.
4 - Triple fff, Alton's Pride - 3.8 % ABV
Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2008. Golden brown session
bitter, full bodied for 3.8%. A forward hoppy
aroma with
a long bitter finish. If you like your bitter in the traditional style then
you'll love this.
5 - Langtons, Caudle Bitter - 3.9% ABV (LocAle)
An easy drinking beer close to a pale ale with traditional
bitter taste. Named
after the range of local hills, Caudle bitter continues to be a very popular
choice.
6 - Parish, Festival Special - 4.0% ABV
(LocAle)
A one
off brew only available in two outlets, one of which is a private function.
Therefore if you want to try it you'll have to be here early as its unlikely
to last beyond Friday.
7 - Burton Bridge, XL Bitter - 4.0% ABV (LocAle)
A
bitter beer with a pleasant lingering aftertaste and a Malty aroma.
Challenger & Target hops with Target hops also used as a late copper hop.
Pale Malt with the addition of a small amount of Chocolate malt.
8 - Mallinson's, 29 Archers - 4.1% ABV
The Third
in our series of Penistone Line Viaducts. Described as: "Pale gold with a fresh
hoppy nose, refreshing bitter hoppy taste with a dryish finish".
9 - Kelham Island, Ing-a-land - 4.2% ABV
What can we
say, a seasonal special from the Sheffield brewery, it's not even listed on
their website at the time of producing this. We are informed its a football
special, a hoppy treat.
10 - Blue Monkey, Evolution - 4.3% ABV (LocAle)
After
launching Original, customers were asking us for a pale and hoppy beer of a
higher abv, so we responded in style! A premium pale ale, light golden in colour
and deliciously fruity. Epic amounts of finishing hops give this beer a
pronounced citrus aroma. A lingering bitterness and dry finish to lead customers
back to the bar for more!
11 - Roosters, Yankee - 4.3% ABV
Pale
coloured premium aromatic bitter. Our best selling beer. Aromas of Turkish
delight, lychees and sometimes Muscat grapes. Soft bitterness.
12 - Thornbridge, Hopton English Pale Ale - 4.3% ABV
A burnt
gold English Pale Ale. Some malt present in the nose with a hint of lime and
lemon peel. Medium bodied with some biscuit character and more citrus present in
the mouth. The finish shows a clean bitterness with a touch of lingering
grassiness.

Black Hole, Alien Nation - 4.5% ABV (LocAle)
Football World cup
special not currently listed on their website.
14 -
Holdens, Shaft Spragger - 4.5% ABV
Bramling Cross hops and crystal malt give this long velvety polished conker
coloured beer a wonderfully balanced taste which swings between gentle hop
notes and robust malty overtones resulting in a long lingering dry finish.
15 - Bowman's, Quiver - 4.5% ABV
Gloriously
rich golden in colour and with a wonderful mown grass aroma, this premium bitter
is full of complex flavours including a tiny amount of caramel. The addition of
American hops gives it a full hop flavour with a dry finish. As with the Swift
One this is also a bloody good beer .
16 - Oakham, Asylum - 4.5% ABV
Premium
amber bitter with insane hop aroma and character, grapefruit and berries to
taste before you’re certified to a bitter end.
17 - Toad (New Brewery), Mature Toad - 4.5% ABV
A classic
ruby red beer with USA/NZ hops.
18 -
Howard Town, Glott's Hop - 5.0% ABV
Glott's Hop
is our strongest beer, and as the name implies, is very hoppy. It's brewed with
halcyon malt and Pioneer hops. it's light, strong and full of flavour. This was
runner up in the Strong Bitter category, Huddersfield Oktoberfest 2005.
19 - OldeSwan, Bumblehole - 5.2% ABV
Strong
hoppy black country beer with a sweet body.
20 - Thornbridge, Jaipur India Pale Ale - 5.9% ABV
A citrus
dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds
to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter
finish.
21 - Sarah Hughes, Dark Ruby - 6.0% ABV
If you
ain't heard of this this one; where have you been hiding? It a classic black
country Mild.
Cider List
22 - Farmer Fear, Thirsty Farmer - 5.5% ABV
(LocAle)
This
medium cider is the only Cider that is produced commercially in
Leicestershire. It is made from mixed varieties of cider apples; some of
which are grown in Rothley, Leicestershire.

Moles, Black Rat Cider - 6.0% ABV
Black
Rat is a dry, award winning, premium English cider. Unpasteurised,
maintaining the apple's full flavour, Black Rat Cider has a fresh apple
aroma, a smooth taste, a crisp clean finish with a bright and lightly
sparkling appearance.
Fruit Beers
There will be a small selection of continental fruit beers available including raspberry, cherry and blackcurrant.
Over 20 Real Ales and
Traditional Ciders available.
